How we have helped our Insolvency Practitioner Clients
Minimize
Country House Hotel
Our client was appointed as a fixed charge receiver. On the appointment of the receiver the existing insurer cancelled cover. On the basis of an instruction received at 5pm on a Friday afternoon we were able to arrange property & liability cover to allow the hotel to continue to trade & honour its commitments including a number of weddings over that weekend.

This allowed the receiver to avoid ceasing trade and reducing the value of the asset.

Large Main Dealer
Our client was appointed as liquidator to a large main dealer. We immediately undertook negotiation with existing insurers to maintain insurance cover pending agreement on a structured plan to wind down trading at this firm & our agreement in place insurance cover with our scheme insurers once the properties because unoccupied.

This allowed the insolvency practitioner have the benefit of the widest range of insurance cover whilst they continued to trade & also have the most cost effective & value for money insurance cover once the firm ceased trading. The credit we negotiated from the existing insurers exceeded the cost of arranging cover for the properties whilst unoccupied.

Property Developer
Our client was appointed as receiver to a large property developer & building contractor. Our initial instruction for cover requested cover on 15 houses. When we attended the site we discovered that these were 15 unsold units in a development of 150 houses & that the receivers insurance requirements far exceeded insurance cover on these 15 units (i.e. cover required for additional development site at this address; cover required for common areas as local authority/management company would not take responsibility until the development was complete.

This allowed us to ensure that the receiver had sufficient insurance cover in place to meet their needs. There insurance cover would have been insufficient if we had not completed our standard online survey.

Hotel
Our client was appointed as liquidator over a large hotel in a provincial town. As part of our service we arranged our automatic blanket insurance cover however when we reviewed the existing insurance cover & negotiated with the existing insurers we were able to maintain cover at existing terms. We then cancelled our blanket cover without any charge.

Our service allowed the liquidator have confirmation that they had valid insurance cover in place without having to incur any other insurance cost whilst at all times having the benefit of automatic blanket cover.
